MRA calling all members
The organization that zips around Cowtown and recently rocked Tinian during the fiesta is calling for all of its members to come out to Marpi this weekend as the Marianas Racing Association will be holding a general membership meeting on Sunday, May 28.
Thanks to the folks at ERRICO, the jumps and table tops at Cowtown Raceway Park have a new face, and the MRA rider will have their first shot at preparing for this summer’s international race when they officially open the dirt circuit this weekend.
According to MRA secretary Eleanor Cepeda, the buzz from the bikes gets started during the family picnic and controlled practice at 12pm on Sunday followed by the general membership meeting at 3pm.
“We’re inviting all MRA members and family to the annual family picnic and encouraging them to come out and join the fun,” said Cepeda.
Cepeda said that the event is more of an appreciation gathering aimed at thanking its members for their support during the year and that it will be catered.
Before all of the fun begins in Marpi on Sunday, Cepeda called for members to support the MRA’s sponsors in Garapan this Saturday, May 27, at the Taste of the Marianas by manning Pacific Trading Co.’s booth at the American Memorial Park.
The club with adrenaline pulsing through its veins will open the track to members at that time to allow them to get a feel for the course and the home field advantage before some of the best riders in the region do battle on the Marianas’ northernmost table top on Saturday, July 8, and Sunday, July 9.
