Fans itching to see Trench Warz III
The third edition of Trench Warz will hit this Saturday, and while fighters and organizing are busy prepping for the big event, fans are already itching to see the no holds barred action.
With only 600 tickets produced for Trench Warz III: Commotion, fans are wasting no time spending the cash to secure a spot in the Trench Tech Purebred Saipan Gym.
Welsey Santos of San Antonio is just one of the many looking forward to the fights.
“I watched the first one but I missed Trench Warz II, and so I told myself I can’t miss another one,” Santos said. “Now I’m ready to see all the action in the cage. Where else can you go to see this?”
Marcelo Reyes expressed similar comments as he said he is determined to watch all the mix martial arts events on Saipan.
“I watched Fury, I watched Trench Warz I and II, and so there’s no way I’m going to miss this. Finally, Slade [Adelbai] is in the main event. The guy is crazy and that’s the fight I’m really looking forward to see.”
Doors open at 6pm with action scheduled to start as soon as the crowd settles in.
Tickets were sold for $20, a $5-hike compared to the inaugural and second Trench Warz. The reason for the hike is that the event will also serve as a fundraiser for the upcoming 6th Micronesian Games.
Among the bouts for the event include Alex Evangelista facing Jay “Furbs” Santos, George “G-Unit” David taking on Lucio Omar, “Suicide” Cliff Masga battling Bill Saures of Dragon Pride, John Babauta fighting Welsin Apaisam, and James Blas challenging Salik Ittu.
Frank “The Crank” Camacho will also face Robert Palacios, Ken Tanzawa fights Frank Roberts, Jason “Rush” Tarkong battles John Borja, and Danny Atalig takes on Herman Duenas of Graccie Barra.
Three Guam fighters based out of the Spike 22 Academy will also fight, with Eric Cepeda taking on Ryan Sablan, Tony Borja facing Jordan Palacios, and Yuichi Yoshi taking on Geovanni Sablan.
The main event will feature Adelbai facing Tony “Xcaliber” Nekaifes.
