Concorde sues Florida firm for alleged contract breach
Concorde Garment Manufacturing Corp. has sued a Florida-based company for allegedly breaching their contract by refusing to pay for apparel products in the amount of $17,749.91.
Concorde Garment, through counsel Steven Pixley, asked the Superior Court to order Boast Inc. to pay the principal amount and pre-judgment interest.
Pixley stated in the complaint filed Tuesday that Boast Inc. engaged in business in the CNMI by entering into a contract with Concorde Garment for the manufacture of apparel products.
Concorde Garment is the successor in interest of Global Manufacturing Inc. by virtue of a merger of the two companies.
Pixley said that in January 2003 Boast Inc., through its authorized agent in Hong Kong, requested that Concorde Garment manufacture various apparel products with specific instructions that the finished products be shipped to the defendant’s offices in Rivera Beach, Florida.
Plaintiff shipped the apparel products consisting of Polo shirts and other items to Boast Inc.’s offices in Florida on April 7, 2003.
Concorde Garment has made numerous demands on the defendant to pay for these apparel products.
On March 16, 2004, the garment manufacturer, through its counsel, sent a demand letter to Boast’s offices in Hong Kong and in Florida. The plaintiff demanded full payment for the apparel products.
Pixley said the defendant has not responded to the demands for payment.
