It’s not the movie adaptation of Frank Miller’s gothic comic novel but the latest party craze at the Saipan Grand Hotel Club V for its “Service Industry Night” every Saturday.

Dubbed as “SIN Saturdays,” the party specially intended for the CNMI’s service industry employees and staff such as service crewmembers from hotels, restaurants, fast food industry, restaurateurs, hoteliers, receptionists, sales people and others.

Saipan Grand Hotel F&B Outlet manager Lance Razon said that SIN Saturday started last week and he was overwhelmed with the huge turnout. He said employees of service industry companies all over the island packed the venue.

Razon said that SIN Saturdays would now be held every Saturday at the Club V from 10pm onwards. There will be games such as the SINFull Contest that features tequila drinking and a beer-drinking contest. He added that the hotel aims to give service industry people in the Commonwealth a weekend night of fun, dance and excitement.

Adding to the merriment are the Knight Owls Band and DJ Fade mixing dance music all night long.

There will be specials offered during the event: $7 Miller pitcher, $2 Miller cans, $1 Tequila shots, $1 Hypnotiq shots and $3 Absolut Vodka. The club will also provide free chasers. (Marconi Calindas)
