Garapan Rollers I and II and the House of Manhoeben Saints advanced deeper into the playoffs after topping their opponents Wednesday night in the continuation of the 2006 Northern Youth Basketball Association at the Garapan Basketball Court.

In the first game, G-Rollers had four players finish in double figures as the team downed the Sparks II, 93-47.

The foursome of Jayvon Tarkong, Jon Ada, Allan Moses, and Joe Pangelinan terrorized the Sparks II players all evening long and wound up with 52 of the team’s total points with Tarkong leading the way with 16 markers.

MacKnox Mobel and Manuel Matogolai paced Sparks II in a losing effort with 16 points apiece.

In the second game, hotshot Jericho Cruz was on target early and often and led G-Rollers II to a 80-68 demolition of Sparks I.

Cruz, however, was no one-man wrecking machine as his 22 points was backstopped by the 21 of Trevor Ogumoro and 18 of gunslinger Preston Basa.

Jose Ulloa and Juan Ogarto were the only Sparks I players to break into double figures with 12 and 10 markers, respectively.

The CTSI Logistics-backed Saints, meanwhile, drew inspired performances from the high-flying duo of Manuel Ajoste and Kevin Aldan as they whipped regular season MVP Robert Naraja and his G-Rollers III, 68-45.

Ajoste and Aldan combined for 38 points to prevent a Garapan sweep of the evening’s tripleheader, while Naraja was brilliant in defeat tossing in 17 points.
