Triple J Enterprises to run Hertz Rent-A-Car business

TAMUNING, Guam—Officials from Triple J Enterprises Inc. said yesterday they have reached an agreement with the current Hertz International Licensee to take over the operations of Hertz Rent A Car in Guam, Saipan and Tinian. Company officials report that the operation will continue to conduct business without interruption.
The acquisition will fall under the newly formed subsidiaries, Triple J Rentals (Guam), Inc. and Triple J Rentals (Micronesia), Inc. who will operate as licensees of Hertz International.
Hertz offers a wide variety of current-model cars on a short-term rental basis: daily, weekly or monthly, at airports, in downtown and suburban business centers, and in residential areas and resort locales. It is represented in the United States and more than 150 foreign countries, operating from 8,100 locations. Hertz has been represented in Guam since 1972.
The company has the largest rental fleet in Guam. There are five Hertz locations in Guam including its main office near the Guam International Airport, and offices located within the airport, the Westin Resort Guam, Hyatt Regency Guam, and the Outrigger Guam Resort. There are also three locations on Saipan including offices at the Saipan International Airport, in Garapan next to the DFS Galleria, and in the Hotel Nikko. In addition, there is a Hertz office in the Tinian Dynasty Hotel.
This announcement follows the recent grand opening of the $13 million Triple J Motors Headquarters and Corporate Offices in Tamuning.
