Any plans yet for your anniversary or any special occasion? Do you want to treat somebody to a romantic dinner? What about a sunset cruise? Or better yet, an elegant sunset cruise and dinner?

Let your cares fall away and get on the next trip of Stars & Stripes, the newest luxury sailboat on Saipan.

The boat, which began operations only this month, is owned and managed by Sam Markos, who believes that tourists and residents alike deserve a first-class sunset cruise and dinner experience right here.

Uniqueness

Stars & Stripes, a two-deck vessel, is the only tour boat on island that has a fully air-conditioned main deck, which serves as the dining and entertainment area.

Also, it is the only boat that has the tallest custom-made U.S. flag main sail, reaching about 100 feet.

As guests arrive, cheerful staff usher them to the outside front deck for a drink and to watch a cultural dance performance. Here, guests are free to join the dance or get an instant tutorial from the amiable dancers.

Guests also have the option to roam and just enjoy the calming and charming view of the ocean or the scenic island from the lagoon.

Great food

It’s best to come in hungry to fully enjoy the sumptuous dinner buffet on board.

Markos said he makes sure that guests are treated to a truly delightful dinner experience, so he partners with Fiesta Resort and Spa for dinner service.

“It’s hotel food you’ll find here. We want to offer the best to our clients,” said the businessman.

The ship’s bar is open throughout the entire cruise, which is from 5:30pm to 7pm, serving guests any drinks they prefer.

Pampering

Throughout the trip, the boat’s staff is always on the move to attend to guests’ needs.

And if guests become engrossed over something, there is no way they would miss the main attraction—the glorious view of the setting sun—because the staff would call their attention.

“Ma’am/Sir, it’s the best time to watch the sunset,” a staff would say.

Nor would guests miss the dinner and entertainment in the main deck because there’s the staff to inform them.

Cultural experience

The trip is more than sunset viewing and relaxing. It’s also a cultural experience.

During dinner, in-house singers belt out favorite songs from the Pacific Islands, including Chamorro songs, as well as popular songs from New Zealand, Hawaii, Fiji, Marshal Islands, Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea, and American Samoa.

Simultaneously, cultural dancers perform the island dances, to the delight of the guests.

The singers also sing songs from the countries where the guests come from.

The dinner show includes a time for guests to dance and compete with each other in dancing.

“Our goal is to provide the best sunset cruise on the island. We want our guests to enjoy and be comfortable, and have a first-class experience with us, said Markos.
