BEH closes down 16 businesses

The Bureau of Environmental Health closed down nine illegal roadside vendors, six eating or drinking establishments, as well as one roadside vendor due to serious violations of health and sanitation standards and the rules and regulations.

The closures were implemented during sanitary inspections conducted by the bureau during the period between March 19 and April 8.

The illegal roadside vendors that were ordered closed were Xu Jin, Lower Base; Xiu Zhen Li, San Antonio (UIC Garment); Zhang Lanan & Shi Xiu Mei, San Antonio (UIC Garment); Li Bo Fei, San Antonio (UIC Garment); and five others identified only by their license plates (ACC 378, ABS 548, ACU 302, LP#533, Kanat Tabla; and AAR#159, Kanat Tabla). Roadside vendor Maria B. Cepeda, with license plate number is ABC 667, was also closed down.

The establishments that were ordered closed included the Mountain Fresh Water Manufacture on Capitol Hill; Diamond Ice Water vehicle #ADB 262; Three K’s Food Catering, Garapan; Young Boy’s roadside vendor #ABB715; Dong Fong Food Catering BUS#680; and Hu Rong Bakery Vehicle #ABA 848.

The Diamond Ice Water Vehicle #ADB 262 has since re-opened on April, 5.

The following eating and drinking establishments were also inspected and their grades are as follow:

9. J’s Restaurant, Gualo Rai

10. Snap Corner, Susupe (Nauru Bldg.)

11. Quiet King Store, Fina Sisu

12. Chalan Kiya Service Station

13. San Jose Service Station Retail, San Jose

14. Ming Palace,Garapan

15. Chalan Kiya Market, Chalan Kiya

GRADE B

1. 88 Restaurant, Tanapag

2. Chibugan BBQ Stand, San Roque
