Support continues to pour in for the 4th Annual NMC Foundation Open, which will be held this Saturday at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort west course.

As reported earlier, the tournament features a list of big prizes for flight winners, hole-in-one challenges, and the awards banquet raffle.

Among the hole-in-one giveaways is a 2006 Honda Civic valued at $22,000, which is being contributed by Joeten Motors. The car will be featured in the 17th hole.

“We’ve been happy to support the NMC and the NMC Foundation over the past few years, and whenever we’re asked to support in anyway, the Joeten group, Joeten Motors in particular, is very quick to respond to the college,” said Joeten Motors vice president and general manager Joe Guerrero.

“It’s our only post-secondary institution in the CNMI and we believe in its mission to provide higher education and workforce development. We, the Joeten group, are one of the largest employers on island and we rely on training that NMC provides to some of our managers who have gone to the NMC and the employees,” he added.

The tournament gets underway bright and early with a 7am shotgun start Saturday.

Golfers can still sign up for the event and are required to pay a $100 fee.

The tournament will feature competition in six flights—Championship, A, B, C, Women’s, and Seniors—with each of the top three finishers in each flight receiving cash and a trophy.

First place winners will pocket $500 plus a round trip ticket to anywhere Continental Micronesian flies except Honolulu and Narita. Second place winners get $300, while $200 will be awarded to third place winners.

In addition to the Honda Civic, other hole-in-one prizes include a Hyundai Accent courtesy of Triple J Motors in hole No. 3, a 2007 Toyota Camry courtesy of Microl-Toyota in hole No. 13, and $25,000 from Bank of Hawaii, $25,000 from Aon Insurance, a Club Cart from PACSPORTS and an ORIS watch valued at $1,500 courtesy of Caronel Watch Center.

Other sponsors for the tournament include Continental Micronesia, Burgler and Comber, Carmen Safeway, Cars Unlimited, Casa Urashima, Chong’s Corp., DFS Saipan Ltd., Dial Rent-to-Own, First Hawaiian Bank, Furusato Restaurant, Herman’s Modern Bakery, Hyatt Regency Saipan, JMC, Kinpachi Restaurant, Luen Fung Ent.
