SHRM scholarship available

The CNMI Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management will be awarding two $500 scholarships to eligible students in the CNMI.

The purpose of the scholarship is to develop professionals through encouraging higher education to ultimately build a pool of skilled employees to support the field of Human Resources for the CNMI. This scholarship is also offered to all eligible employees who have means to improve their skills and to provide a pathway for career development and to encourage individuals to pursue a career Human Resource Management.

Scholarship applications are available for pick up at the Marianas Visitors Authority or the Office of Personnel Management. All applications must be postmarked or received by May 5, 2006. The CNMI Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management is the Common-wealth’s foremost professional forum for discussion and training in Human Resource matters. Recognized as a Superior Merit Chapter, the CNMI branch is composed of human resource professionals from a variety of industries, large and small, who recognize a need for a local society for professionals in the human resources field.
