The top caliber of baseball in the CNMI recently got a boost from one of the top distributors, as Marpac Distributors joined forces with the Saipan Major League to help the players, coaches, and fans of the American pastime for the ext four years.

According to league coordinator Tony Rogolifoi, the agreement should do nothing but benefit the sport on Saipan, and organizers have changed the name of the batting association to the Budweiser Saipan Major League to reflect the new partnership.

The move comes as of no surprise as all local athletic organizations are looking to the business sector for support for the upcoming 6th Micronesian Games, and the local hardballers are no different.

While the skipper of the CNMI All-Star Team has a good handle on whom he will be selecting to represent the Commonwealth this summer, Rogolifoi still has to deal with securing the funding for his squad and the uniforms they will sport when they take the field against Micronesia’s finest this June.
