Water report due on July 1

The Division of Environmental Quality would like to remind all Community Water Systems that the Consumer Confidence Report for year 2005 is due to DEQ on or before July 1, 2006.

All community water systems are required to gather all 2005 analytical results and violations, if any, and produce a Consumer Confidence Report provided to all consumers.

For assistance in preparing the Consumer Confidence Report, DEQ has copies available of the EPA document “Preparing Your Drinking Water Consumer Confidence Report: Revised Guidance for Water Suppliers,” dated January 2001. The document is also available on-line at http://www.epa.gov/safewater.

DEQ Safe Drinking Water staff is available to assist with preparation and reviewing of draft reports.
