Appreciating Kendall-Jackson
Saipan Grand Hotel observed St. Patrick’s Day through several fun events and one of them was the wine appreciation night that introduced the Kendall-Jackson wines.
Grand Hotel restaurant manager Lance Razon said the event was one of a series of wine appreciation nights that the hotel would be holding every now and then.
He said the evening aimed to introduce to the community that the wine is served at the hotel.
Mid-Pacific Distributors, Inc. Tobacco and Liquor division manager Rick Rodriguez flew om from Guam and trained the wait staff of the hotel a night before the event on how to differentiate and serve different wines to dine-in guests. Rodriguez said his one-day training also taught the staff on the best pairings for the different wines especially of Kendall-Jackson.
Pacific Trading Co., Ltd., an affiliate office of Mid-Pacific Distributors, Inc., distributes Kendall-Jackson wines in the CNMI.
Attending the event were some business officers such as from Ming Li Corp. and CTSI Logistics.
Kendall-Jackson winemaking philosophy, according to the distributor, is firmly rooted in its family heritage.
“When Jess Jackson founded Kendall-Jackson in 1982, his vision was clear—to make the very best wine. He demanded quality in every step of the process,” said the publication distributed during the event.
The company starts by growing grapes on mountains, ridges, hillsides and bench lands along the cool California coastline that, in combination with the affect of terroir, produce grapes with intense, complex flavors.
Kendall-Jackson stores its wine in barrels, keeping each lot separate and constantly testing to ensure that they develop perfectly. “When the wine is ready, our winemakers handcraft each wine for depth, richness and complexity. The care and attention to detail at every step is a hallmark of the family heritage that makes us unique.”
