Two charged for allegedly hitting man on the head with metal object
The Attorney General’s Office filed charges yesterday against two men for beating up a man and striking him on the head with a blunt metal object.
James C. Ordinallo, 24, and Gerald C. Sablan, 28, were charged with assault and battery, and assault with a dangerous weapon.
The defendants were summoned to appear and answer the charges in Superior Court on March 27.
Chief Prosecutor Jeffery L. Warfield Sr. stated in the information that on Jan. 16, 2006 the defendants punched Francisco A. Pua in the face.
Warfield said the defendants also struck Pua in the head using a blunt metal object. No other details were given in the information.
Meanwhile, the tourist who allegedly whacked his wife with a wooden chair inside their hotel room at the Pacific Islands Club in San Antonio Tuesday night was taken to the Superior Court yesterday morning.
Associate Judge Kenneth Govendo imposed a $6,500 cash bail for the temporary liberty of Bong Choi Jong.
The judge set the preliminary hearing for March 23.
Police said the victim suffered multiple injuries to the head after her husband allegedly struck her with a wooden chair.
The victim, a Korean tourist, suffered lacerations to the head and was admitted at the Commonwealth Health Center.
Jong was arrested on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and criminal mischief.
KMCV reported last night that the victim has already gone back to Korea.
