A tourist suffered multiple injuries to the head after her husband allegedly struck her with a wooden chair at the Pacific Islands Club in San Antonio on Tuesday night.

The victim, a Korean tourist, suffered lacerations to the head and was admitted at the Commonwealth Health Center, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Ken Concepcion.

Concepcion said the suspect was arrested on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and criminal mischief.

Concepcion said police received a call about a possible domestic violence at PIC on Tuesday at 10:26pm.

Police responded, while medics transported the victim to CHC.

Investigators learned that the victim and her husband were arguing inside their hotel room.

The suspect then allegedly grabbed a wooden chair and hit his wife with it.

DPS did not release the suspect’s name.
