The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3457 will be holding its first fundraiser for the year on March 17 starting at 7pm at the VFW Post Home on Beach Road.

Barry Hirshbein, commander of the Saipan VFW Post 3457, said that VFW members Hartley and Sonia Kroul of The Gun Store in Garapan have already donated over $5,000 worth of fireworks to be raffled/auctioned at the VFW fundraiser.

“You can really get some bang for your bucks with these items. There will be plenty of other great prizes available,” Hirshbein said.

The group has already received donations from Shirley’s Restaurant, D&Q Wholesale, Aquarius Beach Hotel, Triple J Motors, Microl Toyota, Aqua Resort, PIC, Pacific Subsea, Fiesta Resort, Grand Hotel, MGM Garment and others.

“I hope everyone will make it to our first fundraiser of the year. It is shaping up to be a good one. Please help us make this an outstanding fundraiser by spreading the word, coming to the event and making a donation. Remember, these fundraisers help our veterans and our community,” Hirshbein said.
