While the women of the slow-pitch team are all set for this weekend’s opening round of practice, the hard-throwing men of the fast-pitch team are soon to follow as Saipan Softball Association president Ray Palacios announced that the selection will take place tomorrow.

The Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium will hear another round of coaches and managers mull cast their votes as the dugout staffs from the recently completed Men’s Island-Wide Fast-Pitch Softball League will put their heads together at 6pm.

According to Palacios, their should be 10 members present as all of the manager and coaches from the five-team league are required to attend tomorrow’s ballot casting. They should have their hands full too, as this year produced a number of talented players and returned a number of veterans at all-star levels.

The men in search of landing a slot on the slow-pitch roster will not have to worry about the voting procedure as they have to earn a slot on the team through the three-day tryout at Tan Ge Field that starts tonight at 6pm.

For more information about tonight’s tryout, tomorrow’s meeting, or the SSA, contact Palacios by calling 235-7274 or via email at raydpal@yahoo.com.
