Crimson Tears

A heart that longs to be dead
Hangs dangerously on a frail thread
Death is its compassionate ally
But has only crimson tears to cry

Capture by an unresistable allure
But an immortal’s hands are too pure
She says she is not worthy
And her heart threatens to sink into enmity

Her wholeness is pure
But her heart is tainted with reasons unsure
She shies away from the forbidden sin
In love with an immortal who always wins

She is torn by her heart’s ultimate taboo
While searching for a non-existent truth
She’s doomed, Fate lies
She’s alone as her dead heart silently cries
