MCS student’s work to be published in 2 poetry anthologies
Mount Carmel School sophomore Erlyn Yabut Dalan will have her work published in two poetry anthologies, Eternal Portraits and Songs of Honour.
Dalan received a letter in January from Howard Ely, managing editor for Eternal Portraits, informing her of the decision to include her poem Crimson Tears in the anthology. In his letter, Ely wrote, “Your poem was selected for publication on the basis of your unique talent and artistic vision.”
Ely added, “Erlyn you should be genuinely proud of your accomplishment. Of the thousands of poems we read each year, only a fraction can be published.”
Soon after receiving word from Eternal Portraits, Dalan received a letter from Nigel Hilary. As lead publisher for Noble House, Hilary informed her of his interest to publish Crimson Tears in Noble House’s forthcoming poetry anthology, Songs of Honour.
In his letter, Hilary wrote, “Recently, I had the pleasure of reading the poetry that you have published in the United States. I congratulate you on this grand endeavour.”
Impressed with her work, Hilary invited Dalan to have her work published in Songs of Honour, and honor to which she happily obliged.
Hilary noted that her poetry deserves more international acclaim. “The international public deserves to see more of your artistic talent.”
Eternal Portraits is a publication of the International Library of Poetry, which publishes annual poetry anthologies and can be found online at www.poetry.com.
Noble House publishes annual fiction and nonfiction anthologies from new and established authors. Songs of Honour will be published this summer. (PR)
