Power outage in western Garapan…

Customers of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. within portions of Garapan along Beach Road will experience a scheduled power outage today, Thursday, March 2, 2006, from 8:30am to 2:30pm.

The purpose of the outage on Feeder 1 is to replace primary power lines nearby the Dollar Days Store along Beach Road on Western Garapan, CUC said in a statement.

“Because of safety concerns to our linemen, it is necessary that we should de-energized the primary power lines for the duration of the needed time to complete the replacement work,” the agency said.

The affected areas and time of power outage are as follows:

– Feeder 1—From 8:30am to 10:30am, along Flores Rosa Street towards Chichirica Avenue and Alaihai Street in Western Garapan.

– Feeder 1—From 8:30am to 12:30pm, along Kadena Di Amor Street and South of Chichirica Avenue and Mapolo Street in Western Garapan.

Wastewater and water services will also be affected during this time. (PR)
