Two masked men tried to rob a poker arcade in Dandan on Tuesday early morning, the Saipan Tribune learned yesterday.

The suspects, both wearing black shirts and pants, entered the K5 Poker located near the Shell gasoline station at 4am.

The Saipan Tribune learned that one of the suspects managed to break one lock of the cashier’s booth lock using a crowbar.

A Chinese female cashier, who was inside the booth, contacted their security guard who was outside the establishment.

When the suspects failed to open the other lock, they immediately fled.

The security guard later came in, but the suspects had already left.

A witness said it was raining hard at that time and there was no customer.

Sources said there was a surveillance camera installed in the arcade.

One of the suspects was described as having tattoos on the arms.

It was not clear yet whether the owner of K5 Poker reported the matter to the Department of Public Safety’s Criminal Investigation Bureau.
