Are we part of the US or not?

I am currently in California and am now very confused about Saipan. Born and raised there, I always thought that it was part of the United States. I tried to purchase a car today to bring it back to Saipan and was told that it was not part of the United States so I would not be able to do so unless I pay the full price. Another thing is the cell phone companies out here. Some consider Saipan as part of the nationwide long distance, but other companies don’t.

There are many other instances that make it inconvenient when the CNMI is not considered a part of the United States. We need to make it clear so that we would avoid confusion whether the CNMI is a part of the United States or isn’t. We need to announce this to the whole nation so that we will not be discriminated against. It is useless to fly the U.S. flag, obey U.S. laws, be a U.S. citizen, and fight in wars for the United States when sometimes we are not considered a part of the country. We are either a part of the United States at all times or not a part of the United States at all times.
