COMMUNITY BRIEFS
MIX PLATE BAND AT GIG TONIGHT
A high-intensity party explodes tonight at Saipan’s premier party place, GIG Discotheque. Aptly billed “Presidents’ Day Prelude,” it will feature the grand prize winner of the 2005 Liberation Day Battle of the Band, Mix Plate.
Highly-regarded as the best band on Saipan as far as island music is concerned, it will feature on lead vocals Chris and Ray Kaipat, who will be belting out your favorite island rhythms together with the Mix Plate. Doors will open at 9pm.
Playing the hottest party tracks in between breaks is the lone female Mixmaster in the Pacific known in the Club scene as Darkstar a.k.a. DJ Susan. (PR)
