The Budweiser-Coca Cola 6th UFO Inter-Organizational Basketball League resumes tonight with its semifinals at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium after a weeklong break.

With none of the top four teams falling via upset in the earlier playoff rounds, the stage is set for intense action as defending champion and still undefeated Visminda-Tambayan/Nel Atalig square off against three-time champion Samahang Ilokano at Pangasinense-Flor A. Miranda at 6pm.

The two teams will meet for the first time this season after playing in separate pools. SIP placed second in Pool B and has lost just one bout this year.

As reported earlier, SIP is playing without point guard Jason Amado, who has left the island. The team, however, still has veteran playmaker Rick Alegre, who made a return after leaving the island for a while.

Immediately following the bout is another clash of titans as Pool B champion Cabalen-RP Construction/Transamerica puts their undefeated record on the line against Pool A No. 2 seed LIPS-Mobil, which like SIP, dropped only one game in the regular season. Once in the playoffs, LIPS put up strong performances and picked up two wins last weekend to advance to the Final Four.
