RP DPWH Secretary Ebdane to visit NMI

Hermogenes E. Ebdane Jr., who is currently the Secretary of the Philippine government’s Department of Public Works and Highways, will be on Saipan tomorrow, Jan. 28, 2006.

Ebdane, who is a Grand Master of Masons of the Philippine Jurisdiction, is visiting the island to officially attend the installation of elected and appointed officers of Emon Lodge No. 179, a local Masonic Lodge under his authority.

The occasion will be held in World Resort Hotel at 5:30pm of the same day on an RSVP provision. He will arrive in the morning from Guam, where he had attended similar functions. His itinerary will include a courtesy audience with Gov. Benigno R. Fitial and other local officials.

Ebdane is a former National Security Adviser and Director General of the National Security Council, vice-chairman of the Anti-Terrorism Task Force and National Anti-Terrorism Coordinator, and the 13th Chief of the Philippine National Police. He is a veteran, of 34-years, in law enforcement, intelligence operations and public safety administration.

He will depart for Manila on Sunday late afternoon.
