A local company has given life to a new business venture that will take care of families when their loved ones face the inevitable fate of death.

Today, the owner of Nuestra Señora De la Paz Memorial Homes, Design Florist and Perpetual Help Religious Store, Frank C. Cabrera, opens up Sanctuario Pax, which offers memorial plans that will ease the burden and suffering of families when their loved ones depart. Sanctuario Pax operations manager Paul A. Fernandez said the business venture would also start a new industry in CNMI, known as Pre-Need.

“Death is an inevitable event in every person’s life. No one can escape this reality. Neither can the surviving family escape the problems and the 101 decisions that need to be made with the passing away of a loved one,” said Fernandez.

“It is rather unfortunate that it has become inherent in our mentality that even to speak about death is a taboo,” he added. “This is truly unfortunate because when it does come, the emotional anguish of losing a loved one is compounded by confusion and unwise decisions.”

With Sanctuario Pax’s memorial plans, families can invest for tomorrow’s needs at current prices regardless of future costs. Under its plans, a family has the option to ensure that memorial services will be carried out when needed even before the full payment of the plan.

Families may pay for any plan in cash, but Sanctuario Pax has made easy payment schemes on 3-, 5- and 7-year terms. Fernandez added that the memorial life plan could be transferred or assigned to a third party who is eligible for the plan.

Sanctuario Pax’s services not only include the memorial life plan, but also memorial chapel and memorial gardens.

“The only time we can consider this is while we are very much alive and healthy. Now is the opportune time to talk, plan, and prepare for it. Anticipating such a certain event gives us peace of mind. It means providing solutions now to problems tomorrow that is certain to come. And this can be done together by the family without the pressures of grief and sorrow,” Fernandez said.

“We work, we plan, and we make sure that our families are always comfortable. We work hard to make sure that our surviving families are well provided for in terms of needs and wants. As much as possible, they should not experience hardship and be spared from problems and difficulties especially those brought about by the inevitability of death,” he added.

Consequently, Sanctuario Pax offers families with peace of mind, Fernandez pointed out.

Today, Sanctuario Pax scheduled a number of activities to celebrate the company’s grand opening. Blessing of Sanctuario Pax’s offices at the Cabrera Center Complex on Beach Road, Garapan would be at 11:30am; groundbreaking ceremonies at the Memorial Parks and Memorial Chapel in Kagman would begin at 4:30pm; and the launching of the memorial life plan would be held at the Fiesta Resort & Spa’s Hibiscus Hall at 6:30pm.
