Da Terminators continued to shine in the Budweiser SBA Open 8-Ball League as the team dominated and kept a firm hold of its lead in the team standings Tuesday night.

Da Terminators got off to a slow start and trailed Jewel’s Night Shooters after dropping the first match, however, the team retaliated with a fury as its players pulled together and won the remaining five matches for a 5-1 victory.

Roman Rodriguez avenged his first game loss by coming back strong and teaming up with Jojo Talibong for a victorious doubles bout. R.J. Macaranas and Luis Fajardo, who both won their singles matches earlier, also joined forces to take the second doubles match.

Meanwhile, No. 2 Round Two Hustlers were able to creep closer to Da Terminators after sweeping its six-match bout against cellar-dweller VFW Leaders via default.

Da Terminators currently sit with a 55-17 win-loss record while the Hustlers are just six games back with a 49-32 card.

Third ranked USSP Fotten Palau was taken to the limit but still survived with a respectable performance against VFW What Doing as the two teams finished their competition with a 3-3 tie.

What Doing opened with a hot streak as Karl Reyes and Diamond Aldan won the first two matches, but Fotten Palau responded with two wins of their own courtesy of the R.E. Rengiil and Ed Suzuki to close the singles round with a neck-and-neck battle. The teams then split the doubles portion for the final result, with VFW’s Tony Arriola and Aldan giving their team the lead, and Ed Suzuki and Rengiil saving Fotten Palau by winning the final match.

The other contest also ended in a tie as No. 4 Bud Killaz and No, 5 USSP Fotten Gaga each won three matches.

The Killaz were on target and seemed to have their way as they won the opening three matches, however, Fotten Gaga refused to throw in the towel and won the final three matches.
