Spring semester 2006 at the Tinian Junior/Senior High School will start on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006.
Schedule is as follow:
– 7:30-7:55 School store opens
– 7:55 Tardy Bell
– 8:00-9:00 First period
– 9:05-10:05 2nd period
– 10:05-10:15 BREAK
– 10:20-11:20 3rd period
– 11:20-11:45 Jr. High Lunch/Sr. High Reading/Study Hall
– 11:45-12:10 Sr. High Lunch/Jr. High Reading
– 12:15-1:15 4th period
– 1:20-2:20 5th period
– 2:25-3:25 6th period
School uniforms are available with Frances Diaz.
Parents and/or guardians are encouraged to volunteer and/or become members of the Parents Advisory Council. If interested, call school principal Florine Hofschneider at 237-6143 or 237-4161. There will be a PAC meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, at 3:30pm in the library.
School handbooks from previous years are still available for parents and/or guardians. Visit the office and get your copy as a lot of information are still applicable. Board policies and procedures are also available online. Log in at www.pss.cnmi.mp.
The entrance and exits of the high school have been changed. The entrance has been relocated to the street going to the public cemetery. Exit will be the street between Hungshun and Manglona’s residence. DPS will be available Tuesday, Jan. 10, to help motorists with this change.
There will be a Student Assembly on Jan. 10, 2006 at 9:05am for students grades 7-8th. All junior high classes must report to the cafeteria. Assembly for 9th through 12th graders is scheduled for 3rd period at 10:20am. All senior high classes must report to the cafeteria after attendance 3rd period. (PR)
