The landmark 318-room Fiesta Resort Guam held a soft opening last Dec. 22.

Known as Guam Dai-Ichi Hotel for the past 30 years, Asia Pacific Hotels said it is excited to introduce this new name and product to Guam.

“Fiesta Resort Guam has been carefully designed to reflect the warm hospitality and culture of Micronesia. Guests will see more entertainment, delicious food and beverage options and exciting activities for the whole family’s enjoyment,” the hotel said in a statement.

A grand opening ceremony will be planned for the first quarter of 2006.

Fiesta Resort Guam General Manager, Jeffrey Schweizer, assures customers that the hotel will continue the tradition of hospitality and “Service with a Smile” which the old Dai-ichi was known for.
