The Marianas Hawaii Liaison Office recently received a certificate of appreciation from CNMI soldiers stationed in Iraq in the Echo Company 100th Battalion, 442nd Infantry.

The certificate, addressed to the staff and management of the Liaison Office, was a “thank you” from the soldiers with a message, “Go for Broke and Si Yu’us Ma’ase,” in response to the care package that Liaison Officer Janeatte D. Sablan and her staff sent them.

The CNMI soldiers were reportedly elated to receive the boxes, filled with local snacks and goodies.

“It was a small gesture of appreciation on our part, considering the large sacrifices that our soldiers make daily to preserve our freedom. Supporting our soldiers should be more than just stickers on our car,” Sablan said. (PR)
