In time for the holidays, World Resort Saipan provided a post-Christmas treat to the CNMI man’amko with an array of luscious dishes and desserts on Tuesday.

At least a hundred man’amko queued up to get their share of the hotel’s treats at the Man’amko Center. World Resort Saipan management and staff, led by its general manager B.K. Park, served lunch for the elderly.

Park said the luncheon treat was the first time the Susupe hotel delivered food to the Aging Center. He said that in past years, the hotel had provided Christmas lunches for the man’amko but they held it at the hotel’s premises.

“This is more convenient for the man’amko to take the food to them,” Park said.

Park said the holiday treat was to show the hotel’s appreciation and respect for the CNMI’s elderly.

He assured the man’amko that the hotel would continue to provide them holiday treats every year. Park added that they are actually looking at doing the same kind of event thrice a year.

The hotel provided at least eight different dishes and four types of pastries as desserts. Park said what they served the man’amko were the food they usually serve in the hotel.

Man’amko and kitchen assistant Kus Uiumelog said she was thankful to the hotel for the wonderful treat. Uiumelog, who has been helping in the Aging Center kitchen for six years now, said the lunch provided at least one lunch off for her in the kitchen.
