SCC to install 2006 officers on Jan. 10

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will formally install its 2006 Board of Directors during a gala installation dinner on Jan. 10, 6:30pm at Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan’s Hibiscus Hall.
To be installed as officers are Pacific Trading Co.’s Charles V. Cepeda as president, Saipan Shipping Co.’s Alex Sablan as vice president, Deloitte & Touche’s Michael Johnson as treasurer, and Triple J Motors’ Jay Jones as secretary.
Directors for 2006 are Delta Management Corporation’s Jim Arenovski, Coca-Cola Beverage Company (Micronesia), Inc.’s Kathryn Barry, KZMI/KCNM Radio Stations’ Harry Blalock, Juan T. Guerrero & Associates’ Juan T. Guerrero, and Century Insurance Co.’s David M. Sablan Sr.
Keynote speaker for the evening will be newly inaugurated Gov. Ben Fitial. Also addressing the audience will be U.S. Department of Interior Deputy Assistant Secretary David B. Cohen, who will serve as the evening’s special speaker.
Besides a delicious dinner menu prepared especially for the event, and presentations by the islands’ government and business leaders, the evening will include entertainment and a silent auction of high-quality items. Proceeds from the silent auction will support the SCC’s special projects fund.
The SCC gala installation dinner is open to the public. Cost of the evening is $50 per person. Tickets are limited, and must be purchased in advance at the SCC office located at the Family Building, Garapan Street, Garapan. SCC members can reserve tickets by calling the SSC office at 233-7150.
