The waters off Managaha Island was given a green flag by the Division of Environmental Quality and the agency is enjoining the public to enjoy the beach.

DEQ analyzes water samples collected from Managaha’s recreational beaches and dock this week as part of its regularly scheduled sampling.

The agency said none of the samples collected contained excessive concentrations of fecal indicator bacteria nor did they exceed the CNMI Marine Water Quality Standards.

DEQ analyzes a total of 11 samples from the shore surrounding Managaha this week. DEQ welcomes all inquiries as to the quality of the beach water. The public is encouraged to contact DEQ at 664-8500 with any questions concerning this matter. (PR)
