Marianas Visitors Authority is fully cooperating with the incoming administration’s transition committee, according to its board chairman, David M. Sablan.

“We want to fully cooperate with the transition people,” he said yesterday.

He said that based on his talk with the MVA transition sub-committee chairman Herman Sablan, the transition work is almost finished.

“He said that they’re just wrapping up,” he said.

Transition subcommittees are tasked to review their assigned departments or agencies and make recommendations on how to effectively run these offices.

In particular, the sub-committees, in discussions with current department of agency staff, are expected to identify problems facing the offices and potential solutions to those problems.

The Fitial-Villagomez transition committee, chaired by Covenant Party chairman Martin Manglona, said that it would complete its reports on Dec. 30.

Gov.-elect Benigno R. Fitial and Lt. Gov.-elect Timothy P. Villagomez will assume the leadership on Jan. 9, 2006.
