Barwars II at GIG on Dec. 14

Saipan’s top-seeded ‘mixologists’ will put their craft to the test when the competition dubbed “Barwars II” kicks off at GIG Discoteque this coming Dec. 14.

Expected to defend his title is Fiesta Resort & Spa’s Rey Macalintal, who bested the rest during Barwars I. With flair bartending now getting attention, more contestants will display their technical skills and artistic ability. Expect plenty of maneuvers such as flipping, twisting, twirling, throwing and catching of bottles using hand-and-eye coordination while mixing cocktails.

Up for grabs are cash prizes and gift certificates for the top three winners. Each contestant will be given an exclusive Barwars T-shirt. For more details, call 234-5050 during office hours and look for the GIG manager Fred Santos or 234-3131 at night and ask for Emy Romero. (PR)
