Superior Court Associate Judge Juan T. Lizama has imposed a 29-day jail term on a man who stole $5,880 from a poker arcade.

Following a plea agreement, Lizama, however, gave defendant Fang Shun-Fu credit for the 29 days he had already served in jail.

Lizama placed Fang on five years probation and ordered him to pay $5,580 in restitution to MGM Poker. The judge also required the defendant to pay $250 fine and $100 in court assessment fee.

Lizama directed Fang to write a letter of apology to MGM Poker and ordered him to stay away from the establishment during the probationary period.

Lizama also prohibited the defendant from possessing or consuming alcohol during the probationary period.

The Attorney General’s Office charged Fang with theft. He pleaded guilty.

Court documents stated that on March 21, 2005, the defendant unlawfully took the property of MGM Poker. (Ferdie de la Torre)
