Police checkpoint schedule

The Department of Public Safety’s Traffic Section will be conducting an Occupant Protection and Car Restraint and Sobriety checkpoints on the following dates and times:
Sobriety Checkpoint:
Nov. 20
The first setup will on Beach Road Garapan by Bank Pacific. This operation will start about 4pm and will end about 5:15pm.
The second setup will be on 16th Highway Chalan Kiya by CUC Waterloo. This operation will start about 8pm and will end about 9:15pm.
Nov. 23
The first setup will be on 2W Highway Garapan by Han’s Tire Shop. This operation will start about 9:30pm and will end about 10:45pm.
The second setup will be on 2W Highway Chalan Lau Lau by Verizon. This operation will start about 1:30am and will end about 2:45am.
Nov. 24
The first setup will be on Beach Chalan Lau Lau by Char’s Store. This operation will start about 7pm and will end about 8:15pm.
The second setup will be on Beach Road San Antonio by CHC Health Clinic. This operation will start about 1:30am and will be terminated about 2:45am.
Nov. 25
The first setup will be on Beach Road Garapan by Liberty Plaza. This operation will start about 1:30am and will end about 2:45am.
OPCR Checkpoints
Nov. 25
The first setup will be on Beach Road Susupe by Multi-Purpose Building. This operation will start about 9am and will end about 10:15am.
The second setup will be on Beach road Chalan Lau Lau by B&R Repair Shop. This operation will start about 9pm and will end about 10:15pm.
Each checkpoint conducted will last at least 75 minutes (1 hour 15 minutes) at each location. This activity is part of the Department of Public Safety’s efforts to deter and detect impaired drivers and to ensure that all vehicle occupants are protected.
In addition, traffic officers will be conducting highway criminal interdictions, saturation patrols, aggressive driver interdictions, and laser activities.
