It is with a heavy heart that I extend my personal condolences to the families of +Sgt Wilgene Tudela Lieto and +SPC Derence Jeffrey Weilbacher Jack for their selfless sacrifice. Both served not only this company but also our nation and most especially our great Commonwealth with distinction, living up to the U.S. Army values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage.

They both took their responsibilities of being freedom protectors seriously. I am proud to have served with these CNMI heroes and to our nation.

Know that your loss is our loss, too. Day in and day out, many thousand miles away, the members of Company E, 100th Battalion, 442nd Infantry feel your pain and grief here in Iraq. It is unfortunate that we cannot be with you today to help comfort you during these difficult times of grief. We will miss them. We will keep you and your families in our prayers.

On behalf of my wife, Celina, our children and the members of Company E, 100th BN, 442nd IN and their families, we thank you for your continued support and prayers.

God speed and “Go For Broke” and God bless you and your families.

Maj. Franklin R. Babauta
