Thanksgiving turkeys are up for grabs when the Northern Marianas College holds its 12th Annual Turkey Run on Nov. 19 around its campus in Fina Sisu.

Event coordinator Rufino Aguon said there would be six categories in the college level and four in the open category for this year’s edition of the three-mile race.

Turkey prizes await winners of the female student, male student, 35-and-under female employee, 35-and-under male employee, 36-and-over female employee and 36-and-over male employee categories in the inter-college competitions.

On the other hand, the first male and female finishers to cross the finish line as well as the top 45-and-over male and female finishers in the open division also get to bring home a turkey, Aguon said.

A free T-shirt with the event’s colorful and pretty logo embossed on it will also be given to the first 40 finishers of the Turkey Run. A $10 entrance fee will also be assessed to non-NMC participants.

Assembly time for the NMC Turkey Run is at 5:30am in front of the NMC Gymnasium. (Mark Rabago)
