Looking and feeling beautiful is no longer a luxury; it’s a necessity, said Marie Moses, owner and manager of Extreme Cuts salon, as she and her staff celebrate their first anniversary in business this month.

Moses, a manager at Bank of Hawaii, says that gone are the days when visiting the salon is only for a few. A salon visit is, in fact, for everybody, especially those who are busy and hard working, she said.

Aware of the need to “de-stress,” Marie decided to put up her own salon on Nov. 4 last year.

“I really liked to have a business. So I decided to have a salon, which does not only cater to my personal needs, but also my friends, and several other customers,” said Moses.

She said the salon offers “much recommended” services such as spa, body massage, hair treatments, and many others.

“Our spa here is very popular. My friends and customers really love it,” she said.

After a year of operation, she said, “so far so good.”

“I come here after work everyday and on Saturdays. I like what I’m doing. Our goal here is customer satisfaction. We keep on getting customer feedback so that we’ll continue to improve,” she said.

Marie said she is proud of all her staff.

“They know their job. They’re focused on clients. They’re very professional,” she said.

She said that her staff is instructed to jot down their customers’ feedback for consideration.

“We listen because we want to continue to improve our services,” she said.

Extreme Cuts, located on Beach Road, San Antonio, near Joeten Store, offers hair cut, hair coloring, hair spa, hot oil, hair manicure, straightening and rebonding, hi-lights and high lifting colors, hair perming, and hair relaxing. It also offers hair styling and make up, cellophane, facial, manicure and pedicure, and ear piercing.
