The Water Task Force announced yesterday that progress continues with the upgrading of the water system on Saipan.

The latest announcement indicates that increased pressurization and longer water hours are on the way to the following areas: Upper/Lower Navy Housing, China Town, Upper Miha Housing Area, and Garapan.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to monitor their water flow particularly into water tanks. The increased pressurization and water hours could cause water tanks to overflow and cause customers unnecessary expense.

“The cooperation of the community has been a big reason why so much progress has been made with our water system upgrade,” said Lt. Gov. Diego Benavente.

He also reiterated the importance of water conservation by all residents and businesses. (PR)
