To SHEFA officials
We are disappointed not to have received any word from you in answer to our inquiries concerning our financial assistance pursuant to Saipan Local Law 13-21.
We wish to inform you that we are all full-time students, each carrying 12-credit hours, enrolled in the Masters Program under Framingham State College. Please be further informed that the current semester is broken down into three sessions. The first session began yesterday, Oct. 22. The second and third sessions will take place in December of this year. And please note that all three sessions fall under 2005 Fall Semester.
Moreover, we want you to know that we are all products of the Public School System. We were students during your tenure as Commissioner of Education. You know, sir, perhaps your memory is better than ours but we can still recall during our graduation commencement ceremony when you stood in front of the podium and encouraged us to pursue our education after high school. And that is exactly what we are doing. You motivated us and we gladly appreciate your concern to better our future.
Our first session began yesterday and you are still reluctant to release our financial assistance checks.
We hope you will agree with us that a little more care and accuracy on your part or the SHEFA Board for that matter will benefit all of us.
As educators too we urge you sincerely to practice what you preach and release our checks as soon as possible because we are in great need of such financial assistance.
Respectfully,
