Q3 TAX FILING DEADLINE SET
The Division of Revenue and Taxation is reminding all CNMI residents that the 3rd Quarter deadline for filing the quarterly tax returns is Monday, Oct. 31, 2005. The Division of Revenue and Taxation will be open from 7:30am until 6:30pm on Monday, Oct. 31, 2005. KARIDAT OFFERS HOUR-LONG TUTORIALS
Karidat, House of Manhoben is accepting registration for children ages 5 to 9 and youth ages 10 to 18 years old for hour-long tutorial services.
Registration for application can be picked up at House of Manhoben-Teen Center in Chalan Kanoa. Registration will be from Oct. 20 to Oct. 31, 2:30-5:30pm. For more information, call Ling at 234-9026. (PR)
ASVAB TODAY
Who: High school graduates, high school seniors, or those with a GED. Active duty applicants must be aged 17–34. Army Reserve applicants must be aged 17–39. Must be a U.S. citizen or a citizen of FSM, Palau, or have an I-55 1 (Permanent Resident Card).
What: The ASVAB, Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery
Where: U.S. Army Reserve Center in Puerto Rico
When: Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005 at 7:30am and 1:30 pm.
Why: To take advantage of Army incentives like money for college, skill training, guaranteed pay and entitlements, travel, adventure, full medical and dental care, 20-year retirement and much, much more.

SLATE OF DANDAN ELEMENTARY ACTIVITIES
The Tottot family would like to remind the entire Dandan Elementary School Community of the following important dates to remember and school activities for the month of October:

– Oct. 22: Parent Symposium Conference at MHS campus at 8-12noon
– Oct. 26: CJPA-Domestic Violence Awareness Month School Presentation
– Oct. 28: DES Student Council Officer’s Induction at school campus – 9:45am
– Oct. 28: STUCO Halloween Dance Fundraising at DES cafeteria at 6:00pm
– Oct. 29: Saturday Reading Academy begins at 8:00am-12noon at the school library
– Dec. 22 & 23: Make up days for Typhoon Nabi.
Reminders:
– DES Physical Fitness Program: every Friday from 1:45pm-2:30pm at the school baseball field.
– After School Program is forthcoming.
– Language Learners Survey and ERATE survey-must be fill out and return to the school by the end of this week.
OCTOBER EVENTS AT HOPWOOD
– Oct. 27: Cultural Day
– Oct. 28: Report Card Day. School will be half day. Parents may pick up report cards from 3:00-6:00pm.
Don’t forget about our Saturday Reading Program! Saturdays from 8am to 12 noon we offer drop-in reading for students and community members in the Hopwood library. Backpacks no longer allowed.
CLASS MAKEUP DAYS ON TINIAN
Tinian Jr./Sr. High School will make up the instructional days missed on the following dates:

Saturday Academy starts at 8am through noon. Breakfast, snacks and lunch will be served.
