Tony comes home
GUAM—A large number of Government of Guam officials and Bank of Guam employees, relatives, and friends turned up for the arrival of the body of Bank of Guam president Tony Aflague Leon Guerrero early Tuesday evening at the Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport aboard a Continental Airlines flight from California via Honolulu, Hawaii.
Leon Guerrero, who was also the bank’s CEO and chairman of the board of directors, died on Oct. 9, 2005 in his San Francisco home after a long bout with cancer.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at the Dulce Nombrede Maria Cathedral in Hagatna and burial will be at the Pigo cemetery.
The son of the Bank of Guam’s founder, the late Jesus S. Leon Guerrero, and Eugenia A. Leon Guerrero, Tony Leon Guerrero is survived by his wife Mari Flor Herrero and their three children Maria Eugenia, Alexandra, and Jesus. He is also survived by his brother Jesse A. Leon Guerrero and his wife Deirdre, and his sister Sen. Lourdes A. Leon Guerrero and her husband Jeff Cook and their families.
