SHRM to host ‘HR Headlines’ conference
The CNMI Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management will have their annual conference on Oct. 20 at Charley’s Caberet of Pacific Islands Club from 8am to 5pm.
With so many issues hitting the headlines that affect the workplace, the conference will include a variety of presentations relating to technology, security, legal issues, and identity theft. The theme for this year’s conference is: “HR Headlines.”
Jim Barry from the Federal Bureau of Investigation will present the issue of identity theft; Joseph Flores, assistant general manager of G4S Security Services, will talk about Emergency Response Teams in the workplace; Michael Dotts from the Law Offices of O’Connor Berman Dotts & Banes will discuss terminations and how to do it legally; and Jesse Toves and Edgar Ramos of Pacific Business Solutions will talk about how HR information systems and technology can keep any company organized.
All SHRM members are urged to join their peers for this current and informative conference. All non-SHRM members in the business community, whether owners, managers or human resource professionals, are invited to learn more about the society and to improve their human resource knowledge through the conference.
