BoG prexy Tony Leon Guerrero passes away

HAGATNA, Guam—With profound sadness and much love and sympathy for his family, the board of directors, management and staff of the Bank of Guam family announce the passing of their beloved chair, president and chief executive officer Anthony A. “Tony” Leon Guerrero.

Guerrero died on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005 in his San Francisco home where he lived for months during his medical treatment for cancer.

Nightly rosaries will be said beginning last night, Oct. 10, at the Hagatña Basilica beginning with the 6pm Mass, followed immediately by the rosary. Funeral arrangements are tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Basilica.

The son of the Bank of Guam’s founder, the late Jesus S. Leon Guerrero, and Eugenia A. Leon Guerrero, Tony Leon Guerrero is survived by his wife Mari Flor Herrero and their three children Maria Eugenia, Alexandra, and Jesus. He is also survived by his brother Jesse A. Leon Guerrero and his wife Deirdre, and his sister Sen. Lourdes A. Leon Guerrero and her husband Jeff Cook and their families. (PR)
