Do you have questions about the future of the CNMI? Do you have concerns about any particular area—the environment, the Island infrastructure, or the economy, for example? Or are you troubled about education, government ethics, federal relations, or health care? Do you want to know how candidates for public office will address these issues?

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce-sponsored election debates will include questions from the above seven categories. It is urging its members to send in their questions for the candidates.

“You can submit them by email to info@saipanchamber.com. Or you can stop by the Chamber office and drop off questions into the ‘Debates’ envelope. Either way, all questions will be kept confidential,” said Chamber executive director Christine Parke.

All questions must be submitted by close of business on Friday, Sept. 30. Question must be specified if it is for the Washington Representative debate, Senatorial debate, Gubernatorial debate, or all three.

Meanwhile, the Chamber’s next General Membership Meeting will be on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Pacific Island Club.

Speakers include Lee Webber, Chair of Guam Chamber of Commerce Armed Forces Committee; Jay Santos, Customs; and Erin Greenwood, Election Commission. (PR)
