The Bwibwiis made good use of their height advantage and managed to edge Garapan Rollers III, 57-44, Monday evening as action in the Saipan Rotary Summer Youth Basketball League returned to the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

The two teams were even throughout the first half as both had several offensive spurts that prevented the other from taking a comfortable lead.

The young G-III crew, however, was able to grab a slim advantage and headed into the break up by a hairline, 26-25.

The second half belonged to the Bwibwiis, who used their height advantage to control the boards for second and even third opportunities under the basket.

Ben Lisua heated up in the process, knocking down eight points, while Ryan Laniyo and Fred Litulumar supported him with six points each, spearheading the Bwibwiis attack that lit up the scoreboard for 32 points.

The Bwibwiis were also getting the job done defensively, limiting G-III to 18 points in the last 20 minutes.

Lisua and Litulimar finished with 10 points apiece to lead the Bwibwiis, while Laniyo contributed eight points.

Josh Moses had the hottest hand and led G-III with a game high 16 points, while small-but-terrible Kyle Concepcion contributed eight points.

Bwibwiis 57—B. Lisua 10, Litulumar 10, R. Laniyo 8, Pua 6, Somol 6, M. Lisua 6, A. Laniyo 2, Saures 2.

G-Rollers III 44—Moses 16, K. Concepcion 8, Deleon Guerrero 5, Untalan 4, J. Concepcion 2, J. Palacios 2, Bondol 2, D. Palacios 2.
