Residents of Saipan, Tinian and Rota are being advised that winds associated with a circulation east of Marianas is expected to bring volcanic haze and gases from Anatahan to these area until later today.

Widespread showers and clouds make the haze light but a weak sulfurous odor may be obvious at times.

The CNMI Emergency Management Office would also like to advise mariners, sea tour operators, fishermen and beach goers to be aware of poor visibility at times due to association of showers and haze.

EMO said that haze and gases may cause breathing difficulties. People with respiratory problems should remain indoors until the air clears and the sulfurous odor fade away.
