A Filipino town fiesta showcases an array of talents, enacts togetherness, and instills gratitude for the fruits of one’s toil. This is what the Marianas Institute of Filipino CPA’s and Accountants hopes to achieve as they celebrate their 11th anniversary on Sept. 3, 2005, 6pm, at the Aqua Resort Club.

A centerpiece of the evening is the induction ceremony for MIFCPA’s officers and board of directors for 2005-2006. The chosen theme is “Committing to Professional Excellence and Social Responsibility.”

Glittery song-and-dance numbers are being prepared, along with some informative and inspiring slide presentations. A member of the program committee said he hopes that each participant will go home humming the song So Happy Together.

Guests of honor include Philippine Consul General Wilfredo Maximo; Michael Johnson, chairman of Saipan Board of Accountancy and head of accounting firm Deloitte & Touche; James Whitt, vice chair of SBA and head of the accounting firm Ernst & Young, and other officials of the Philippine Consulate in the CNMI.

Tickets are available for $20. Free souvenir programs will be given to the first 30 guests. MIFCPA officials invite all regular members, including former officers and members, and other interested individuals.

To those who attended the accounting workshops held in July, the certificates of participation will be given that evening.
